RA Power Solutions was notified about a bad accident on a Wartsila 8L32 engine ship that broke the crankshaft. We sent two experts to the Port of Khorfakkan in Dubai, along with a crankshaft grinding machine and all the tools they needed. A visual inspection of the Wartsila 8L32 crankshaft by our expert technicians revealed that there was an excess of bearing material in the oil sump, below crankpins 1 and 5, necessitating the opening of the connecting rods of all crankpins and inspection.
